The new book is going to take place in Manhattan, and, as can be guessed by my previous entry’s mention of future zombies and what-not, bad things happen to New York City. Now, how exactly would the Office of Emergency Management handle a couple of hundred thousand zombies suddenly flooding the the streets of the city? What would happen if a major earthquake accompanied said event, as well as a consequent tidal wave? I contacted a friend of a friend who actually works for the OEM, and put the question to him. Apparently, this is not uncommon in his line of work; his buddy was the consultant for I Am Legend movie. So he was happy to field my questions, and I just received his response.
