I’ve just nipped away to report on the contents of my stocking, and then must away ere break of lunch to take my seat at the table and commence with the eatings of the foods. But! A nice haul thus far, premier amongst which are two novels I helped me mum pick while we were at B&N: Prince of Stories – The Many Worlds of Neil Gaiman, a book on, as you no doubt guessed, being savvy readers, you, about Mr. Gaiman, his life, his works, his genius. I plan to crim notes. AND I got The Mammoth Book of Best New Horror 19, from which I ALSO plan to crib notes. What’s hot right now? Where’s it getting published, and more importantly, where can I get more of it?

Also, a delightful assortment of chocolates, bubble bath stuff and a disappointingly easy wooden pyramid puzzle thing. But, fear not. The best is still to come.

Now I’ve got to run back upstairs. The music’s playing, I can hear voices raised in laughter (sounds cheesy, don’t it, until you hear the real thing and get that warm feeling), and the turkey is about ready to emerge from the oven. In a way, this is its first and last debutante’s ball. I hope you all are having a wonderful day, full of good food and cheer, and that your prezzies are top notch and fill you with delight!

Happy Christmas, all!
