How cool are prehistoric fish? The answer is: very cool. Over 410 million years old! Beggars the mind. Think: crocs appeared 200 million years ago, and dinosaurs only became extinct 65 million years ago. That’s before land vertebrates, and before most plants had even colonized the continents. Coelacanths have been knocking around practically for ever.
