So I’ve discovered the iTunes store. Revolutionary, I know, cutting edge, I live right on the tip of the glacier where the icebergs calve and fall into the arctic ocean. I tried it out in order to purchase Regina Spektor’s album, wanting to contribute to her career, to actually pay for something I’ve been listening to tons, and discovered an Amazonesque suggestion panel that showed me what other people have also purchased. And seeing Tegan and Sara’s The Con listed, I sat up and paid attention.

First off, what is up with all the crazy music coming out of Canada? Tegan and Sara, Feist, Broken Social Scene, Halloween Alaska, Arcade Fire – that country’s got it going.

Anyways, I started checking out some of Feist’s new stuff, having really dug Mushaboom back in the day, and here are some of her new videos – some great stuff:

How cool is it that she turned down a $1,000,000 offer from McDonald’s who wanted to use her song 1234 in a commercial?

The answer: very cool.
