Today I have begun my First Million Words challenge by posting almost 3,000 words of my new novel, One by One to my new site. The plan is to write about 2,750 or so words each day for the next 365 days, which comes out to about a novel a month.
One by One posits the question: how would humanity react if inexplicably we all began to disappear, some 30 million of us a day, so that by the end of the year we would all be gone? Inspired by Byron’s poem Darkness and a drive I took through a seemingly desolate and abandoned Miami downtown one night, I’m really pleased with it thus far. Check it out!
Of course, all the word that’s being published on my new site is of first draft material, so caveat emptor.
